The history of HPS began more than 20 years ago with the takeover of a tax advisory firm in Herford. The year 2025, and the introduction of High-Performance Tax Consulting, marked the start of a new chapter for HPS.

The cornerstone
More than 20 years ago, tax advisers Dirk Pönnighaus and Martin Schrahe took over the former Herford tax advisory firm Hartmut Brockmann. Long-standing client relationships were carefully maintained — even after partners retired.

The founding
With the name HPS, our firm gained the identity by which it is known today. Many of our colleagues and team members have been working together successfully ever since.
2001
Founding of HPS.
Growth
Our service portfolio was expanded to include audit services. This opened new opportunities to support our clients comprehensively.

Equity participation in Vereinigte Treuhand GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.
