The history of HPS began more than 20 years ago with the takeover of a tax accounting firm in Herford. The year 2025 and the introduction of High-Performance Tax Consulting marked the start of a new chapter for HPS.

The cornerstone
More than 20 years ago, tax consultants Dirk Pönnighaus and Martin Schrahe took over the former Herford tax consulting firm Hartmut Brockmann. Long-term client relationships were responsibly maintained — even after the retirement of partners.

The founding
With the name HPS, our firm received the identity by which it is known today. Many of our colleagues and team members have been working together successfully since that time.

Founding of HPS

Our service portfolio was expanded to include audit services. This opened up new opportunities for providing comprehensive support to our clients.
